This event does not benefit the Cayman Islands Cancer Society. This is organized by a private group of people who are raising money for the St Baldricks Organization in the US which funds research for childhood cancer. If you want to help on a global level, this event may interest you. If you want to help kids and families on a local level, donating to CICS may be of interest.
The 4th Annual St Baldrick’s Hannah’s Heroes Shave is fast approaching. Please save the date in your diaries now – Friday 23rd September at The Wicket in Cricket Square.
In just three years the community has raised over US $1,000,000 to fund the most promising childhood cancer research in the United States. Your efforts have resulted in the funding of two scholar’s grants to support vital research, both named in Hannah’s honour. However, the fight goes on.
There are a number of ways you can show your support and get involved;
- Register to shave NOW and start growing your hair!
- If shaving is not for you consider simply making a donation to support a friend braving the shave.
- 23rd September there will be a silent auction, prize balloon raffle and delicious food and drinks specials from the Brasserie.
